I tried to sell this. It is in exceptional working order. Please give me advice?Would you please give me advice about how to better sell this on ebay?
Here is some advice for selling any product:

The Basics

Perfect your title

Attract more buyers by writing a title that is descriptive and uses keywords that are relevant to the item you are selling. This will make your listing stand out to buyers, as they browse the site, and will ensure it is always found when buyers search for similar items.

Low starting prices attract more buyers

Many sellers start their item at 拢0.99 (鈧?.99), with no reserve, and experience great results. While this may seem nerve-wracking at first, low starting prices attract more buyers as they get more excited about the potential of bagging a bargain!

Create an ideal listing and include photographs

Be honest about the condition of your item, and if it has flaws or damage, say so - or even better, show them in a photograph. People like to know what they're buying. The more information buyers have, the more likely they are to bid.

Let PayPal make payments worriless

Buyers feel reassured when they can use PayPal as a payment method - the quickest, easiest, safest and most efficient one. Find out more

Track your listings in My eBay and check My Messages regularly so you pick up any questions from potential buyers.

Calculate Postage %26amp; Packaging first (UK users | IE users)

Buyers like to know the full cost of their item up-front, so make sure you get it right - don't overcharge and don't leave yourself out of pocket. So, once you've got the basics down, you can start really working on your selling skills and making the most out of every item.

Go to the Top of the Class

Getting Ready to Sell

Research completed listings to find out what sells, how often and for how much.

Keep your finger on the eBay Pulse and make sure you know what buyers are looking for.

Listing Your Item

Go beyond the basics and create an ideal listing.

Make sure you stick to the rules and don't list something you shouldn't.

Offer insurance or a tracked postal service, particularly for expensive items. Buyers can then choose whether or not they pay for these extra services.

Make it clear when you list an item how long it will be before you are able to dispatch the item.

Delight Buyers! Offer Great Customer Service

Always answer buyer inquiries quickly and completely. When you answer via My Messages, it is a good idea to tick the box that allows these to be posted on the listing, that way you avoid answering duplicate questions.

Pack your items well and post within the time you committed to.

Leave honest and fair feedback for your buyers. Feedback is at the heart of the eBay community. Leaving timely feedback for your buyers will encourage them to do the same. This is extremely important, as it is the way buyers will assess your reputation as a seller.

In the unlikely event that you or your buyer experiences problems with the transaction, keep communicating - this is often the quickest and easiest way to resolve disputes, particularly those that arise from misunderstandings.

But this will apply for your product too also make sure your picture is just the item not a clutted background like yours.Would you please give me advice about how to better sell this on ebay?
Two things right off the bat:

The picture you have is not clear. I can hardly see the item. Also, there appears to be a great amount of clutter in the picture I can't make out.. People don't want to go to YouTube as most have a good idea how a vacuum cleaner works.

Shipping charges: They are almost half the opening bid price. Buyers don't like excessive shipping charges, whether justified or not.

To improve your chances:

List it at eBay LOCAL for PICK-UP only (avoiding shipping charges)

or Craigslist for the same reason

Take a new picture. ELIMIATE CLUTTER. The ONE and ONLY thing you want in your picture is the vacuum (and maybe attachments) Use a SOLID WHITE sheet as a backdrop for your picture. If the picture is too dark, use your photo editor to add some brightness and a wee bit of contrast. You should also crop the photos.

Good Luck!

P.S. Also keep in mind we are in a recession. Many people are buying only necessities and sales are soft everywhere, including eBay.
