Need some advice about coilovers?

I am confused as to what I have to purchase with coilovers...........................I saw some coilovers that are only the springs and now i have to buy struts to match? what are some good struts could handle a 1.5 inch drop...........the car is a ford escort lx.Need some advice about coilovers?
If you choose to drop the veh ride height you need to buy the struts %26amp; the springs for that ride height . if you try to use your original struts they will have to much travel %26amp; you will have handling %26amp; noise problems.... i see this regularly at the Ford dealer where i work people try to get out cheap %26amp; only buy the springs... no good. also you will need to get a camber kit to set the alignment after the replacement, this will help the handling but most of all prevent major bad tire wear. this is not a mod that you can do halfway or you will never have the veh perform well after. consult any tuner mag for companies who sell the whole package.save your money till you can afford to do it the RIGHT WAY....Need some advice about coilovers?
you have to be more specific. the old strut wil do the work if you are gonna drop it 1.5 inches.to my knowledge there arent too many performance parts for that car . you might have to work with what you got and get it custom made
