Any information is helpful! I want to go in with as much knowledge as possible.I am a MGT with Walgreens and am thinking about applying to ADSM. Does anybody have any advice?
Its a lot of hard work, but its definitely worth it.
I work at one of the Happy Harry's stores, and after the Walgreens transitions, all of the store managers and EXAs had to go through ADSM classes. They both said that it was probably the most exhausting experience they've had in years (That should be more reason to get it done, and get it done right... the first time) but that they learned so much, and it was actually knowledge that they could apply immediately.
Even with it being such a stressful situation, they both did very well. My EXA at the time was the class MVP. This was about three months ago. She was just promoted to store manager last week. Hard work pays off. Just make sure that its something you can fully commit yourself to before you make any obligations. I'm not sure if you can go to ADSM as a MGT, or if you have to be an EXA. If you have to be an EXA, make sure you're comfortable with the possibility of being a store manager. Obviously, ADSM performance must be weighted seriously when it comes to any type of promotion for EXAs.
Good luck!
