Anyone been to the Fairmont Mayakoba? Any good advice about places to eat in Playa Del Carmen?

I have not stayed at Fairmont Mayakoba, but I will give you a link to check out that gives reviews of people who have stayed there and also you can look at pictures of the hotel/resort.


As far as places to eat... Yaxche Maya Cuisine is a very nice place to eat and has beautiful surroundings. It offers authentic Mayan cuisine.


Kool Beach Club is also a great place to go and relax.


Ipanema's Grill is really good. They offer a Brazilian steak house. They have 20 different selections of meats. you can have your choice from beef, lamb, pork, poultry, fish or seafood and all are on 3 foot long stakes. It's really good.

went there last summer and loved it!! at the hotel, the 2 best places are Las Brisas(the restaurant at the beach) and El Puerto (restaurant off the lobby). they are both amazing! one restaurant to avoid is the one by the pool that also has a breakfast buffet. it is not worth the money! in town, there is carlos and charlies! which is completely americanized and safe. and its a lot of fun to go to on saturday nights! also senor frogs! if you do eat in town make sure to stay around the tourist section because some places can get dangerous to eat. hope this helped!Anyone been to the Fairmont Mayakoba?
