Would you please give me advice about how to better sell this on ebay?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie鈥?/a>

I tried to sell this. It is in exceptional working order. Please give me advice?Would you please give me advice about how to better sell this on ebay?
Here is some advice for selling any product:

The Basics

Perfect your title

Attract more buyers by writing a title that is descriptive and uses keywords that are relevant to the item you are selling. This will make your listing stand out to buyers, as they browse the site, and will ensure it is always found when buyers search for similar items.

Low starting prices attract more buyers

Many sellers start their item at 拢0.99 (鈧?.99), with no reserve, and experience great results. While this may seem nerve-wracking at first, low starting prices attract more buyers as they get more excited about the potential of bagging a bargain!

Create an ideal listing and include photographs

Be honest about the condition of your item, and if it has flaws or damage, say so - or even better, show them in a photograph. People like to know what they're buying. The more information buyers have, the more likely they are to bid.

Let PayPal make payments worriless

Buyers feel reassured when they can use PayPal as a payment method - the quickest, easiest, safest and most efficient one. Find out more

Track your listings in My eBay and check My Messages regularly so you pick up any questions from potential buyers.

Calculate Postage %26amp; Packaging first (UK users | IE users)

Buyers like to know the full cost of their item up-front, so make sure you get it right - don't overcharge and don't leave yourself out of pocket. So, once you've got the basics down, you can start really working on your selling skills and making the most out of every item.

Go to the Top of the Class

Getting Ready to Sell

Research completed listings to find out what sells, how often and for how much.

Keep your finger on the eBay Pulse and make sure you know what buyers are looking for.

Listing Your Item

Go beyond the basics and create an ideal listing.

Make sure you stick to the rules and don't list something you shouldn't.

Offer insurance or a tracked postal service, particularly for expensive items. Buyers can then choose whether or not they pay for these extra services.

Make it clear when you list an item how long it will be before you are able to dispatch the item.

Delight Buyers! Offer Great Customer Service

Always answer buyer inquiries quickly and completely. When you answer via My Messages, it is a good idea to tick the box that allows these to be posted on the listing, that way you avoid answering duplicate questions.

Pack your items well and post within the time you committed to.

Leave honest and fair feedback for your buyers. Feedback is at the heart of the eBay community. Leaving timely feedback for your buyers will encourage them to do the same. This is extremely important, as it is the way buyers will assess your reputation as a seller.

In the unlikely event that you or your buyer experiences problems with the transaction, keep communicating - this is often the quickest and easiest way to resolve disputes, particularly those that arise from misunderstandings.

But this will apply for your product too also make sure your picture is just the item not a clutted background like yours.Would you please give me advice about how to better sell this on ebay?
Two things right off the bat:

The picture you have is not clear. I can hardly see the item. Also, there appears to be a great amount of clutter in the picture I can't make out.. People don't want to go to YouTube as most have a good idea how a vacuum cleaner works.

Shipping charges: They are almost half the opening bid price. Buyers don't like excessive shipping charges, whether justified or not.

To improve your chances:

List it at eBay LOCAL for PICK-UP only (avoiding shipping charges)

or Craigslist for the same reason

Take a new picture. ELIMIATE CLUTTER. The ONE and ONLY thing you want in your picture is the vacuum (and maybe attachments) Use a SOLID WHITE sheet as a backdrop for your picture. If the picture is too dark, use your photo editor to add some brightness and a wee bit of contrast. You should also crop the photos.

Good Luck!

P.S. Also keep in mind we are in a recession. Many people are buying only necessities and sales are soft everywhere, including eBay.

  • What advice can I give my boyfriend about people STEREOTYPING him?

We had a discussion earlier about stereo typing and he was telling me how much it bothers him that people stereo type him. He says that people see him as being ''just another Black man even though he has allot of goals that hes been working towards and hes a really social and big hearted person'' He said people assume that he is like everyone else in his family etc. (negative people) I saw that it upseted him allot but didnt know what to say. I feel bad. Any suggestions on things I could tell him? What advice can I give my boyfriend about people STEREOTYPING him?
Tell him to prove all those people wrong with his actions and accomplishments. What advice can I give my boyfriend about people STEREOTYPING him?
People are always going to be people. Many of them want to judge a brother by a few other bad apples. They judge by appearance, not by careful observation.

As a person of colour, I've experienced both sides of the problem. Yes, I've been guilty of stereotyping. But I grew up, got more mature.

People have stereotyped me. Heck, even parents of white girls I have dated did that to me. One man said, when I worked for him in landscaping, ';Well, now I've got a Mexican.'; What was that all about?

One old Air Force vet asked me if I had my green card. Heck, I was BORN in the USA. I even served in the Army.

So yeh, people will do that. It hurts sometimes. But you grow a thick skin, you don't sweat the small stuff. Cause those people don't mean diddly. They ain't nothin.

Just be true to your own self, and know your own self. And love your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your mind. And love your neighbour as your self. Even the ones who stereotype you. Cause they don't understand what they are doing.

Maybe you can just listen to him, be there for him. Pray for him.

I would say to him, ';Don't pay attention to those fools who stereotype you. Look for the few wise ones who see into who you really are. And be careful not to fall into the trap of doing what you see is hurtful.

';Like Spike Lee's character, the old man in Do the Right Thing. said 'Son, always always do the right thing.' '; And let God take care of the rest.
Tell that young brotha that YOU love him and that YOU don't see any of those things when YOU see him. That's what My wife said a cupla years ago, and I haven't cared what other people thought about me since.

A good woman builds her man up. And I can tell you are a good woman, because you're looking to build your man up. One Love!
tell him that stereotypes are used strictly by the naive, prejudiced and baised.

they simply see things skin deep and they dont care enough to see what is beyond that.

tell him that he should be lucky that some people make stereotypes because it makes it easier for him to know who not to hang out with and talk to.

thos people are ignorant and base their knowledge on tv and comics.

stereotypes are simply generalizations and describe groups as a whole

if a white persons first experience with a black person is negative, they may feel that way towards black people forever because they are too dumb to look and see whats really going on

tell him that youre sorry that their are so many people that WILL see the amazing qualities he has despite any draw backs stereotypes bring
have him tell them to suck the hairest part of his nuts!!!!!!!!!!! ........ wink, wink. it works for my boyfriend. tell him to give it a try. -k-
Life is very unfair. The good you see in him WILL be seen by others. Keep working hard so it will not be for nothing.
Race is always a problem, especially with those that cling to it. I see many ';colored'; people at work, not just black, but South African, Hispanic, Philipino, etc..... I work just as well, or sometimes even better depending who I'm paired up with.

For them, race isn't a top priority, but for many people it is. They let it seem like an excuse as to not to do as well, or to not try as hard, etc.

From my experience, the ones that are the most racist are the black or Hispanic cultures that don't want to be around anything but their own, making me feel like an outsider in their world.

For example, the public pool here is free at certain times. I went there with wife and child, and my wife and I were the only white people there. (My stepson is half hispanic.) They were staring me down, talking behind my back. My wife and child got in the pool, but after that, we left. I don't like fighting, especially since my family was just out for a good time. From all of the comments I heard, I was not welcome there anymore, sorry to say. AT A PUBLIC POOL!!!!!

I can feel your husbands pain at people stereo typing him. It sucks, its where I live, I'm the only cracker here, it seems....

I wish people would get it through their skulls that color does not mean different!!!
there isnt anything he can do, some people will forever be stuck in their own little ideas, tell him to pitty the ignorant, and look for the people who wont look at him that way.
yes. Don't take it personally. People will always stereotype (the not so smart ones anyway) but it is up to him not to take it personally. His opinion, not those of others matter the most. If he knows he's not just another black man then very soon everyone will know it too. Bottom line, don't let what others think affect you. What you think about yourself is what is ultimately going to determine your relationship with others and how far you go in life not the other way around. Good luck. And keep telling him how special he is and that he is not just another black man and soon he'll start to believe it as well
Well, tell him to hold his head and don't worry about what other people say in this day and age you better be proude of what you have acomblished in life.
    STEREOTYPING???

....he has a lot of ';GOALS'; he's ';working towards';?

.....how hard, and how fast, is he WORKING towards them?

.....has accomplish ';ANY'; even minor ones yet?

Goals are things you SET....as in,

    ....within 6mos. I will have _____ ?

    ....within 1 year I will acomplish _____?

....within 2 yrs. I will have saved______?

TALK WITHOUT ';ACTION';, ';PROGRESS';, and ';ACOMPLISHMENTS';.....are just BULLSH*T %26amp; DREAMS!
Be honest about the fact that you feel bad about him feeling bad. That reflects empathy, which is a good thing.

Then ask him to consider the fact that many people are ignorant, and stereotypes only confirm that fact. Ask him to try to be forgiving of people who don't know any better than to stereotype. Help him understand that it's THEY who have problems, not him.

    If he continues to feel like it's him against the world, play into it. Tell him ';if you're going to let them get you down like this, one day they might convince you that it's true, and then they would win this battle.';
Tell him that the people that stereotype him are ignorant and he shouldn't even give them the time of day. He will show them one day when he is successful, and they are not.

What is good advice did you get from your Titas and/or Lolas about beauty?

My Lola told me to stay out of the sun so I don't get dark and get moles.

How about you? What is good advice did you get from your Titas and/or Lolas about beauty?
She use to say '; No matter how pretty and beautiful you are in the outside, sooner or later it will fade away, and all what left is the beauty from within';What is good advice did you get from your Titas and/or Lolas about beauty?
I just saw that this category is Philippines---no wonder I have no clue what a Tita or Lola is!
beauty lies not in the other persons phisique but in your mind and how you look at it.
When I was a child, my mamita (grandma) used to put castor oil in my eyelashes so it would grow thicker and curlier daw...I'm afraid it didn't work coz I sure don't have those ';malantik na pilik-mata';....what I have are eyelashes so straight down (yet thick) that they look like drapes over my eyes...no kidding!
they said in order to be a good model, stand up straight, and don't get sunburn.
I didn't have a chance to meet my grandparents. they all died before and the other after (4 moths) i was born.

    back..to the q.

my auntie will always tell me to put mayoinase in my hair once a week to make my hair stonger and shiny...I used to do it when i was in my early high school but it's hard to keep it up.

My mom will use ';gata ng niyog'; on my hair. she will simmer it and rub it on my scalp and hair.It works well on me.
my lola doesnt give me advice but she gives me freebies from avon. like eye liner and lip gloss.. = ) cool lola ~鈾
I grew up in a household of mostly men so I was less vain than any girl I knew. The only beauty ritual my Lola taught me was to use googoo shampoo for thicker hair.
My grandparents told me to sleep every afternoon especially after lunch to gain healthy skin and become tall.
my lola kulasa would always tell me ';ineng, kahit may sakit ka, hwag kalimutan ang pahid-pahid sa mukha'; - young lady, even if you're sick, don't forget the nightly ritual of cleansing/creaming your face......good, good advice.... feel nena's face - parang porcelana (smooth!)

I need some advice I am thinking about join the Army Active Duty and take advantage of the quick-ship bonus.?

I am afraid that the recruiter promises will be only promises, I bee reading on some Websites really bad reviews about recruiters. Any advice from an ex- military would be appreciated.I need some advice I am thinking about join the Army Active Duty and take advantage of the quick-ship bonus.?
Get EVERY your recruiter ';promises'; you in writing. If he is not willing to put it into writing than more than likely it is not a promise he can keep. Also, if you are having doubts I would see if he could put you in contact with some military folks from your closest military base and that way you can get your questions answers. Remember...a recruiter is a sales person and why they don't work on commission they do have quotas that they have to meet. If you really want to join, but you think your recruiter is shady....go to the recruiter in the next town and see what kind of feeling you get from him. Joining the military is a serious decision...especially in a time of war...and its not a decision to be made without all the facts.

Good luck!I need some advice I am thinking about join the Army Active Duty and take advantage of the quick-ship bonus.?
Truthfully, 70% of the people out there who say recruiter lie all the time,

Have never been in the military.

Thats why you have a contract, just read it and make sure any promises are in the contract.

If they are, your good to go.

If they aren't, then the promises mean nothing.

Almost all the people you hear saying, they didn't get the bonus they were promised.

Either failed to pass the AIT or Tech School the bonus was to be paid after completion, or for some other reason that was the fault of the recruit.

IE: if you supposed to get a bonus as a linguist and you fail linguist school, you aren't gonna get the bonus.

And if you fail the AIT or Tech School that was in your contract, then you still have to complete your enlistment, only now you will be trained, in whatever the Military needs you to be trained in. Whether you like the new field or not.

They give you the chance to pass, they don't guarentee that you will pass.

There is a whole lot of selective hearing going on, when people talk to a recruiter, they hear what they wanna hear, not what the recruiter actually said.
The only thing that matters is what is printed on the contract you sign when you enlist. If it's on the contract you'll get it. If it's not there you won't.
I am going thru the same thing and just want to see the answers.
    Hi, former military here.

First off, a recruiter will promise you anything they can think of to get you in, but just because they promised it, that does not mean you will get it. There is even no gaurantee that anything that you sign for you will get. I've seen them all... it is also the biggest joke in bootcamp. The drill sargeants laugh at you when you mention what a recruiter promised and your new found friends will laugh with you when you all realize, 'What the hell was I thinking?', when you finally find out that the main reason a recruiter is trying to get you in is for the bonus money they usually get.

The military life is not all that bad, but there are people who can and will make it hard for you. The military is filled with chumps, morons, and idiots. My recommendation for you is to research as much as possible and NEVER, EVER, EVER sign on for a military job that you do not want. If you do not get what you want, walk out.. there is nothing they can do. They will get mad, yell, blah blah blah... put them in the corner and let them know you are willing to volunteer for the military and you just want to get out of it what you want.

Good luck and pack a shovel.
Not ex military but I have a friend whose brother went into the marines during Desert Storm and it ended before he saw combat and he kept his bonus... so if youre lucky and we pull out... you get the idea.
make sure that u get the job u want if they try to say that that dont have that job open then tell them that is unacceptable and u wont join unless they give u what u want.
join the navy or air force -you don't want to be cannon fodder, you are young -look down thw road ?
KILL OR BE KILLED...WTF is it?
sorry I can't offer you any advice ...but just wondering why you need money quickly. I mean could you maybe get a temp job or a loan? Schools (if it's for school that u need the money) offer lots of loans and fin aid even if your grades are not very good. Good luck with whatever your decision is.
It really depends on your recruiter. My husband is currently an Active Duty Army Recruiter. He would never lie to anyone but being so close to everything I know a lot that would. If you post specifically what he has told you maybe my husband can help and at least let you know if they can promise that or not. There are certain things that a recruiter can do and others that they can not.
OK....my boyfriend joined the army national guard when we were dating. After basic training and and extra 7 months at training, he came home with his promised bonus. Every thing seemed great, right? WRONG!!!! The army promises to pay for college tuition...but only if it's on their terms. There were some cases where they wouldn't pay for certain programs and/or books and supplies. At other times, we had to put the money out of our pocket and wait to be reimbursed. It may seem like no big deal, but it's not like we had an extra amount of money just laying around. He had his monthly drills, which honestly paid pennies! Then we got married...one week after our honeymoon he got the orders to go overseas for one year. He had just got hired at his dream job as a firefighter and then he had to leave, no questions asked. So of course he went, and came back after a year. When he got back they were so unorganized with everything. Paperwork, orders, payment information, etc. That was his biggest complaint with the army, the lack of organization, and how everyone is out for themselves. It didnt feel like ';an army of one'; for him. Then he still had to do drills while he was working as a firefighter. Normally, they're supposed to give you at least a month's notice so that you can take off of work at your civilian job...not him. He got calls maybe a week in advance, and then when he had a schedule conflit with work, the army didnt care. They made him take vacation time off of his job to go to their one/two day trainings where he made a third of what he'd make for a full day at his normal job. He is now considered inactive for another year, and he said there's no way in hell he'd reenlist. Every person that asks his opinion/advise about joining, he always tells them not to do it, unless they are really looking to make the military a career. Hope it helps....if you're in a relationship, make sure your significant other is ready for it...because it's not easy!
I've enlisted back in June and shipping out early due to new incentive. Anything they promise has to be in your contract when you go to MEPS.As long as its in there you have to receive it. Dont worry I know it sounds too good to be true but if its in your contract thats all that matters.

Anybody have any advice for somebody thinking about writing a book?

Firstly, research how to write a book before you begin writing. It's not common sense and I think many people make the mistake of jumping in thinking it's easy and then ending up failing at the end. Visit writing websites and message boards and find out how other writers approach it. Everyone approaches it differently, but you might be able to take something from everyone and create your own way of doing things that benefits your own style. Also, there are many books written by professionals with tips on how to write a novel. Buy a couple or rent them from the library. Researching beforehand will make you less likely to make newbie writer mistakes, which could mean fewer drafts as you're polishing your manuscript.

Secondly, don't edit as you write. I think this slows writers down. Your first goal should be to complete the first draft. Don't go back and make any changes, even the obvious ones. If there's something you want to incorporate then start incorporating it but don't go back and revise your writing to include it. I think many people get so caught up in editing their novel that they don't complete it. In fact, most people who start writing a novel will not complete it. Get that linear storyline written first and foremost. Your second draft is when you'll go back and change whatever it was you wanted to change and start making corrections, including those obvious mistakes. I wrote my first draft within 3 1/2 months, and it wasn't anything to show another person because pieces were missing, some parts didn't make sense, things didn't add together, and so forth. All those things don't matter when writing the first draft, which is why it's called a Draft. When I edit my novel, which will be the second draft, then I'll go through and give some characters a major role, I'll completely rewrite parts, and I might even change the main plot some. In fact, I might have to change a whole lot if I want to give a minor character a major role. But, you'll edit your novel through several drafts, so don't try to make the first draft perfect. Treat it for what it is - a first draft.

Thirdly, don't be afraid to make major changes. I know writers can become attached to their stories and characters because they've spent a lot of time writing it. Never do this. If you want to make your work the best it can possibly be then you need to be able to recognize when something isn't working and scrap it. It could be a character that you dedicated 40% of your novel to and then decided that the plot doesn't really work with this character in it. I've heard of authors writing a complete, nearly polished, manuscript and sending it to their editor and their editor tells them that it needs work so the author scraped the whole thing and started from scratch. That's just how it works, especially if you want to make something good. So, be prepared to X-out characters, add characters, delete whole scenes, add stuff and do what you need to do to make it better. You might also decide that your novel is better told in first person rather than third and might make that change on your third draft. So, just be open to making major changes if needed.

Lastly, but not least, be open to feedback. I've literally seen writers who think their writing is so perfect that they don't need anyone else to give them feedback on it because they're a darn fine writer. There isn't a writer who doesn't think highly of the work they've put their heart and soul into, but just realize that as an author you cannot be 100% objective regarding your work. Other writers, and even regular readers, can give you feedback on how to make it even better. If something is confusing then they'll let you know. If you're unknowingly using the passive voice then they can let you know so that you can correct it. Unfortunately, I've seen those few writers who angrily refuse critiques also crash and burn. They end up getting rejected and becoming angry at publishers instead of trying to figure out how to make it better so that it appeals to the people who matter. Or, those same people will self-publish or knowingly publish with a vanity press because they feel their writing is too good to pass up and become upset when they don't sell any copies And they're out of thousands of dollars. So, be open to critiques. Getting feedback does not mean you're a bad writer and it's not an insult to have others give you feedback. Take it as them investing their time to read your material and give you honest constructive criticism because they want you to succeed with making it better.

    Good luck.

[EDIT] I also want to say that you should put aside a certain amount of time for you to write, whether you're feeling creative or not. Your novel will not get complete if you don't have time to write it. Don't wait on that creative spark to hit you because that might take a few years. Sit down and force yourself to write something - anything. Even if it's the ending or pieces of the middle. All those things can be revised on the second draft. [2nd EDIT] I love to edit, lol. I forgot to mention that your first few books might be pure crap, but don't let that deter you from writing. Even if you think your writing sucks just keep at it and finish and start another one. Practice makes perfect and no one creates a perfect manuscript on the very first (or few) try.Anybody have any advice for somebody thinking about writing a book?
First of all write on something you like, something you would like to continue writing with.

Second don't put too many details in which will make it drag on and on and on. That's boring

Third take it from an author right here (me) write a chapter and then recheck it after your done. If you do a hundred page story, look about it in this way, that would be like refixing and rechecking a THOUSAND words. Nobody wants that.Anybody have any advice for somebody thinking about writing a book?
First, do some free writing without editing yourself to get the creative process going.

    Then, put together an outline.

Write in bits and pieces according to your outline, break it down to get a rough draft down out.

Revise, rewrite, move paragraphs around, etc. until you're happy with what you have.
    Stop thinking. Start writing.
I am thinking about writing a book too. Let me know what you find out from your thinking.
Make sure it is on something you like.

    Legal Advice about apartment application?

But since we never actually applied, and no credit was run, how can she just take the paper we were filling out. It had our license numbers, socal security, account numbers, and the whole thing seemed shady. Does she have any right to keep them?Legal Advice about apartment application?
If she supplied the application..she has every right to keep such. Concern over giving out and keeping your info should of been addressed prior to filling out the application.Legal Advice about apartment application?
    no

but maybe she wants a copy of those candidates who change their

    mind. dumb reason.

call her and tell her this; she has confidential data of yours and

if any use of it is traced back to her, she will be sued.

the ONLY way I will take her side is like employers; they keep

apps from candidates they accept and from those whom they

reject; same as with credit lenders.
Yes she does, it is her property. She sounds like a super *****, but it is her paper. Sounds dumb but thats the law. If you feel like wasting time, call and find out who her boss is and ask him/her for the paper back.
NOPE, and you shouldn't have let her have them. You needed to be polite, but pro-active.

NOW, I would suggest you go to her boss and make a complaint and request immediate return of papers.
As long as she does not run your credit or do anything with the information on them then there is nothing illegal about keeping the piece of paper.

I need some advice about the following?

I work at a big bank. The department that I work at is small. There are three people that work the morning shift and four people that work the night shift. I work the night shift. As of right now someone from the night shift left and in September another person is going to be leaving. What I need the advice about is the following.

If I where to get a better job offer somewhere else can my boss hold me back from leaving my current job? Also If I where to decide to go back to college in another state can my boss hold me back from my current job?I need some advice about the following?
dude---it is a free country...do what YOU want to do...

wht ever you decide - proper notice would be two weeks notice to quit.

trust me....people understand going back to college....(even if you get another job...say college)...they will really respect that.

good luckI need some advice about the following?
absolutely not.. there may be deeper reasons why your co-workers are leaving and maybe you're seeing that too.. there is no reason to go on working in an institution if you don't enjoy your job anymore because it wont get you anywhere.. since you have an experience in the finance sector, i recommend you join the lending industry which is a challenging job where you can work at your own pace.. you decide.. life is short, stay happy..
What do you mean ';hold you back from your current job';? He can't force you to work there, no. If you quit, then you can leave.

I am seeking information about medical insurance and going to a Gynecologist. Any advice?

I am 20 years old, and I understand the importance of going to yearly check-ups. I have no idea where to start or how much it will cost.. so could anybody help me understand the whole process, and does anybody have any advice concerning the issue?I am seeking information about medical insurance and going to a Gynecologist. Any advice?
If you have insurance you can call them and ask if they cover a yearly womens exam. If they do great. If they don't or you don't have insurance it can cost a lot depending on where you go. Search the yellow pages in your area and find a womens clinic or womens health center. Then call and ask how much a routine exam would be.

Insurance will probably make you pay a $25 copayment. Without insurance some tests can cost a lot. It really depends on where you live and how in demand the doctor you go to is.

At the actual visit you will have to fill out several forms concering sexual activity, any problems you think you have or might have and family history. They'll have you pee in a cup most likely to test for things. You'll meet the doctor, they ask you more questions. Then you change into paper like clothes and the doctor will come back, feel inside you for a moment, take a swap ( this may hurt if you are a virgin). Then you'll get dressed, have another moment to talk to he doctor and you'll leave. They'll mail you your test results and inform you of any irregularities.

It's simple, just takes time. It's okay to let the doctor know this is your first exam, they'll probably ask you in the papers you fill out. Nothing to be nervous about :) though I do suggest a female doctor.I am seeking information about medical insurance and going to a Gynecologist. Any advice?
what state do you live in? In Cali there is family pact insurance that is specifically for that and costs you nothing if you are low income.
I would like to suggest to try to get as much information as you could before making up your mind, here

    http://www.HealthInsuranceFree.info

    is a very resourceful one.
If you do not have insurance - most communities have a clinic that charges according to income - or call your county Health Dept. for info - ( FYI- some Health Depts do pregnancy tests too) -

Any advice for a student who is about to take Organic Chemistry this fall?

Something you wish you knew before going into OChem..

    My dentist told me that ';know what happens whenever a bond is broken; what will happen';

Any advice is much appreciated! :-)

By the way, go Hokies!Any advice for a student who is about to take Organic Chemistry this fall?
Well not much make sure you know very basic stuff about carbon and other important elements commonly found in Organic Chemistry such as H,O,N etc. By the way you can always some great books like Solomon And Fryhel, Morrison And Boyd. Also make sure that you have basic idea about inductive effects, resonance effects , isomers etc.

Rest I am sure will taught well because this is one topic that's always taught well irrespective of where you are.Any advice for a student who is about to take Organic Chemistry this fall?
Take good notes, and keep up with the material.

There is a lot of rote memorization- nomenclature, name reactions, etc. It's really easy to get behind, and then you are looking forward to an all nighter before the test.
Learn about carbon bonds and common carbon structures. You should know how to draw and identify things like butane, propane, ethanol, etc.

Best of luck, you should also check to see how good you are at taking notes.
Get your hands on a Kaplan MCAT review book (from the CLASSES, not a bookstore. check craigslist)- their orgo sections taught me more orgo (in a way I could actually understand) than my classes in college did :)

  • Birth control advice: how do you feel about the IUD? (please, only girls who choose this method)?

I'm thinking about changing my birth control to an IUD, since I'm planning on leaving the U.S. for two years and don't want to be bothered trying to maintain my current BC regiment while abroad. One of my girl friends is a walking advertisement for the non-hormonal IUD, but I wanted to get other opinions: any thoughts? Upsides? Downsides?Birth control advice: how do you feel about the IUD? (please, only girls who choose this method)?
I use Merena- (sp?) just had it put in about 2 months ago. So far so good. Slight cramping sometimes, and my period was surprisingly heavier than normal... but i think it takes your body a few cycles to adjust to the iud and get back to normal. All things considered, I'm loving the fact that I don't have to take a pill every day. Oh- and Mirena uses a low dose of hormone. It's not the same as the old school non-hormonal copper IUDs that our moms used.

Advice needed, I think one of my guppies is about to give birth?

Should I wait until they are born in the main tank then scoop them out into the breeding net, OR risk premature labour (if im wrong about the imminent birth) and put her into the breeding net now? Which is best?Advice needed, I think one of my guppies is about to give birth?
Once they are born which if she looks pregnant should'nt be long (remember guppies are live bearers). Scoop them in to a nursery net to seperate from the adults as they will eat any young. The fry will get on fine if you feed them 3-4 drops of live bearer fry food which you can buy from pet shops 3-4 times a day depending on how many fry you have. once they are about a week old you can crumble in some flaked foods. Once they look big enough not to be eaten they can be put back in with the adults. Ps if you can't find any live bearer fry food you can make your own by par boiling some potatoes put them in a jar with some ot the aquarium water and leave for about 3 days and the fry will be able to take some of that.Advice needed, I think one of my guppies is about to give birth?
Don't move the female. That really louses them up. If you want to establish separate birthing quarters, get a separate tank, cycle it with a nice sponge filter, and add lots of cheap floating and bunch plants and move the female about two weeks before she gives birth. (if you can see the fry's eyes developing in the Gravid spot,it's almost too late to move the mother.)
put female in net now. our it will be lunch time for all the other fish.sorry to tell you that.good luck.
The breeding net? If you put her in there with the babies in a small area, they most likley would get eaten. Id just watch the mother carefully and see if you see a little baby swimming at the surface and just net them or scoop them in a small cup
It Will be easier for you to Pop the expectant mother in a Nursery Tank.

As once the Babies are born you'll have problems getting them in a net(Plus other fish WILL eat them very quickly).
I had a special breeding/fry trap. It was a small plastic box that floated at the top of the water, it had a false bottom with slits in it that allowed the fry to swim through into a safe area for them. the mother would be in the top and could not get to the fry to eat them.

Below is a selection of the type of things I mean.
I had guppies years ago , they breed like rabbits, if you want the babies to survive you will need to keep them in a little hook in breeding tank ....otherwise they will be eaten .....they are really cute..

The mother fish will be fine if you scoop her and keep her separate.
I would put her into the breeding tank - I have done it before and its fine. If you let her give birth into the tank, they could all get eaten within minutes. But keep a close eye on her while shes in the trap.
What other fish do you have in the tank? If its a guppy-only tank then you could probably just have a lot of hiding places for the fry and net them out after they are born.
we used to scoop them up after
I just got a new batch of fry yesterday. From past experience, I can tell you that these babies are almost impossible to scoop up and put into the net. You should buy one of these cool little tanks with two levels, designed just for this purpose, you put the mama in the top level, and when she has her fry, they drop down into the bottom level through these holes, now the babies are separated from the mama and she won't eat them. But if you don't want to buy one of these, you should wait until she starts acting funny and not moving around much, you may also notice her looking for hiding places for her fry. Another thing you could do is when she has the babies, get a bucket and scoop up the dangerous fish, including the mama, and put them in the bucket, then you just sprinkle some finely crushed food over in the spot where you will put the net and they should all go over to the spot, then you install the net.
Hi when ours gave before ours gave birth we had her in a little tank in the big tank on here own so noone could get to her, or her babies when she had them. I dont know what there called though but all pet places sell them.

But be warned though alot do get eaten, and you might end up with no babies.

Ours gave birth twice and the first time was ok and quite a few surived and then the second time none of them did.

But you need to put her into a seperate compartment in the tank now, and not a breeding net.

Any advice about correctly singing in the whistle register withought damaging vocal cords?

i dont wanna ';deteriorate my voice.'; i heard thats possible... like u have a vocal peak and then u get worse either naturally or becuz u sang/excersized wrong... wat should i not do?Any advice about correctly singing in the whistle register withought damaging vocal cords?
    What should you not do?

    1. never sing without stretching

    2. never sing without warming up

    3. never use bad posture

    4. don't breath incorrectly

    5. don't use bad vocal instrument placement

Here are ways to turn your DON'Ts into DO's:

    1. Before singing one should make it habbit to stretch all of the body to release tension and to warm up the vocal instrument. Any tension can and will cause vocal strain and eventually damage.

Nothing should be stiff. Loosen up. Do some light stretching and rub out tight muscles especially the ones around your neck, face, and jaw. It might seem strange, but yes, you should massage your face.

    2. Warm up with some light humming and other vocal exercises. You don't have to do scales or have a piano, just sing lighly to wake up your vocal chords. A cappella is best because you won't be staining to outsing sing something like the radio or a piano.

    3. Posture: the foundation of great singing.

    (Standing) from the top:

Your head should be level with the floor and you are looking ahead, not up or down. No tension, just placed as so.

When singing everything should be loose with no stiff tension. Tension causes things to be incorrect even when you know the right way and use it.

Next, Roll your shoulders back. Rolling your shoulders back elongates the spine and thorax or chest cavity and lifts the sternum, the bone in the middle of your chest. This allows space for proper breathing.

Keep your knees loose, so that they can bend. Don't lock them.

Keep your feet shoulder width apart. One foot can be a little farther forward than the other if that is more comfortable for you.

Imagine yourself as royalty. This is all perfectly natural and normal. It is simply the way you present yourself--with poise and self-confidence.

    (Sitting) additional information:

When sitting it is important to keep all the same posture techniques used for standing.

Make sure you sit as far forward on the seat as possible and keep your feet flat on the floor.

When you have proper posture you can learn to breath properly. Correct breath support and control is the gateway to good singing.

    4. Proper breathing and breath support:

To learn the proper way, you've got to know which ways are wrong.

Improper ways to breath when singing:

    1) Clavicular breathing ~ shallow breathing--the shoulders lift

    2) Costal breathing ~ heaving like when you are sick

    3) Abdominal breathing ~ from just the stomach excluding use of the top of the lungs

To understand diaphragmatic-intercostal breathing, the proper breathing for singing, it is import to understand basic breathing for life. Breathing for life is nearly the same with only a few slight alterations.

    How we breath for living:

    1) involuntary impulse of the brain

    2) the diaphragm contracts and flattens to enlarge the thorax or chest cavity

    3) the costal or rib muscles expand causing the air pressure to drop within the lungs. the air pressure inside then equals to the air pressure outside the lungs.

    4) exhale

    Modifications used when singing:

    1) more air is required

    2) quicker inhalation

    3) longer periods of exhalation requiring control

    4) voluntary--you determine how and when

**It is impossible to breath correctly if you are not using proper singers' posture.**

Ways to make sure you are breathing correctly when singing:

    1) Make sure your shoulders and upper chest don't raise when you inhale.

    2) Make sure you are expanding all around. The stomach, sides, and even the back

The laying down exercise is great for practicing proper breathing. You should practice it every night before you go to sleep. When practicing, pay attention to the appoggio, or the moment of balance between inhaling and exhaling just like breathing for yoga.

    Before bed breathing exercises:

Lay on your back and wait until your breathing deepens and evens. You will feel expansion around your stomach, sides, and even back. This type of breathing is the ideal form of healthy breathing and the breathing we use for singing.

    1. Practice inhaling over a count of 10 and gradually grow to a count of 15 and as high as your lung capasity will allow.

    2. Use inhalation explained in (1). Exhale with a hiss of air. It will sound like ';tissss...';. Work your exhale from a 10 count to a 15 count and so on.

    3. Use inhalation explained in (1). Exhale with a hiss of air and pulse using the abdominal muscles. (';tisss, tisss, tisss,...) Work your pulsed exhale from a 10 count to a 15 count and so on.

Remember: When people refer to singing from your diaphragm it is ment to be a locational reference. The activities of the diaphragm are completely involuntary. You don't control it--your brain does.

Proper breathing takes time to develop. You have to keep practicing to build stregth and endurance.

    5. Vocal instrument placement:

We'll start with the voice box or larnyx. You can feel it in the center front of your neck. Swallow while touching it. Feel how it lowers? That's the position it should be in when you sing. You can't really mentally control it, but if you've gotten rid of your tension it should be just right.

Your mouth/teeth/lips... It should be opened wide enough to fit two fingers in vertically between your teeth. For some people even wider for higher notes. Sometimes people just don't open their mouths wide enough for high notes to come out properly.

Your hard and soft pallet... Feel the top of your mouth with your tongue. Upfront, behind your teeth it's hard--that's your hard pallet. Farther back, there is a soft fleshy part. That's your soft pallet. When singing you have to make sure your soft pallet is raised. This allows the air to resonate for a fuller sound. This kind of resonation is especially important for high notes.

To find this position you can yawn. Feel how your soft pallet raises? You could also imagine you have one of those really cool little paper party drink umbrella things. Imagine putting it in your mouth and open it up in there. Now sing like that.

Now you are ready to begin working with the whistle register!

    How it works:

    1) the vocal folds vibrate at a high rate with lengthwise tension

    2) the posterior portion of the vocal chords have considerable ';damping'; (diminishing amplitude in successive vibrations)

    3) the vibrating mass of the vocal chords is limited, and the air pressure and flow is high

    Things to avoid:

    1) Make sure you aren't reaching for the whistle tones. Your head should remain level to the floor and you should maintain proper singers' posture.

    2) Your throat/larynx should be opened and relaxed. If not you could be causing vocal damage.

    Things to do:

    1) Keep whistle tones resonating forward in the mouth and in the sinuses. This helps avoid tension and makes the tone and color more pure and keeps you from swallowing the sound.

    2) Using proper singing breath support is imparative to great whistle tones.

    3) High notes are partially phsycological. Close your eyes and imagine your high note. See it? Now imagine you are coming down from above your high note and just lightly tapping it for a light and present sound.

Good luck and happy singing!Any advice about correctly singing in the whistle register withought damaging vocal cords?
Personally, I would concentrate on two things:

    1) Don't sing whistle too often

    2) When you do, make sure you are breathing and resonating correctly

Please help, I need some advice about nursing, anyone been in the same situation as follow?

I did a degree in nursing, which I just finished a few months ago. I started work in ICU and been ther for 4 weeks now! As much as I enjoyed doing my nursing training, I'm now thinking of doing something different. I'm now feeling that nursing is not for me. Is there any job (apart from nursing) I can do with a nursing degree/ qualification??

Pls help anyonePlease help, I need some advice about nursing, anyone been in the same situation as follow?
Firstly, have you considered nursing in a different environment? ICU nursing can be very stressful, and involves a bit less (conscious) patient interaction than other types of nursing. So why not look into another area of nursing, such as on other wards, or as a practice nurse, or a school nurse?

Apart from that, it's difficult to say which jobs or post graduate qualifications will be available to you with a nursing degree. There's a chance you'd be able to train as a science or primary school teacher, if that would interest you. Basically, you'd be looking at jobs that ask for degrees, but not degrees in certain disciplines - there are a lot of office/marketing etc. jobs that ask for unspecified degrees.

The best thing you can do is contact the Job Centre, and perhaps one or two universities, and see what your options are.

Legal Advice about Live in Girl Friend?

My girlfriend does NOT pay rent, is NOT on my lease and IS a dead beat, can I kick her out?Legal Advice about Live in Girl Friend?
of course you can. of course, if this is her primary residence you may, under state law, be required to evict just as if she were a renter. that means you need to give her a 20 or a 30 day notice to leave.Legal Advice about Live in Girl Friend?
If your lease is close to running out, give notice and leave without telling your girlfriend.

In the interim, tell her she needs to pay some of the expenses of the household, like the electric and water bills. If she refuses to pay, tell her it's lights out for her and don't let her sit on your furniture to watch TV.

You would be surprised how easy it can be to get someone who's living with you ro leave on their own. It's much harder if you have a renter and he/she is uncooperative.
Golden is right. Don't be afraid to call your local police dept. and ask them what eviction laws may apply to your situation in your area. They will be happy to answer your questions, and you will feel more confident about 'giving her the boot' if you know you are acting within your legal limits. BTW, she may just high-tail it out of there once she knows she's not wanted! Good luck to you
You are on shaky ground, if you tell her to leave and she does, fine, if she protests and you go to court she is most likely a legal resident and will have to be evicted through the courts.
Yes, but to be safe follow your local eviction procedures.

There is an International language. It is called ';Esperanto';. But it is an artificial language born over 110 years ago and only about 24.000 people can speak it. But my recommendation is Chinese. And very soon you will see why!

Lucky that India can speak English!
Chinese or Arabic are best. or Japanese.

    universal languages are useless.
I don't think there is a Universal Language.

Have any of you ever joined the peace corp? what was your experience like? I just graduated college with a teaching degree and want to go. Are the any suggestions as to where I should go? Any kind of help would be great!!Need advice about the peace corp please help?
I was a PCV 1971-1972. My daughter is one today.

I worked harder and learned more about myself and the world than at any other time in my life. It was the best experience of my life, all told.

In talking with other returned PCVs, the people who have the best experiences get specific assignments (as opposed to ';community development';) and go to countries with reasonably honest governments. If you get stuck in West Africa working for a government whose main purpose is to pile money into the President-for-Life's Swiss bank account, you are probably going to have a bad experience.

The official web site is graphics-heavy but comprehensive:

    This one is great; ';So you want to join the Peace Corps?';

If you are interested, you can read about my time as a PCV in Sarawak, on the island of Borneo, 1971 - 1972:

    http://www.tedpack.org/pchead.html

There is much more there than I can paste here. It isn't all about my experiences. I search Y!A for the phrase ';Peace Corps'; every week. I have a page devoted to the questions that come up the most frequently. At the bottom of the ';pchead'; page is a link to the Returned PCV web ring, which has 40+ other RPCV sites.

You can Google ';Peace Corps Volunteer Blog'; to find sites about more current experiences.

It's Peace Corps, with a silent ';s'; on the end, just like the Marine Corps, the Civilian Conservation Corps, or A. P. Hill's 3rd Corps at Gettysburg.

You didn't do as bad as a lady I went to high school with who wrote to me as ';Ted Pack, Piece Core Volunteer'; while I was in Sarawak.Need advice about the peace corp please help?

I have not stayed at Fairmont Mayakoba, but I will give you a link to check out that gives reviews of people who have stayed there and also you can look at pictures of the hotel/resort.

As far as places to eat... Yaxche Maya Cuisine is a very nice place to eat and has beautiful surroundings. It offers authentic Mayan cuisine.

Kool Beach Club is also a great place to go and relax.

Ipanema's Grill is really good. They offer a Brazilian steak house. They have 20 different selections of meats. you can have your choice from beef, lamb, pork, poultry, fish or seafood and all are on 3 foot long stakes. It's really good.

I gave you links to check out of other restaurants in Playa del Carmen so you can see what they all have to offer.

went there last summer and loved it!! at the hotel, the 2 best places are Las Brisas(the restaurant at the beach) and El Puerto (restaurant off the lobby). they are both amazing! one restaurant to avoid is the one by the pool that also has a breakfast buffet. it is not worth the money! in town, there is carlos and charlies! which is completely americanized and safe. and its a lot of fun to go to on saturday nights! also senor frogs! if you do eat in town make sure to stay around the tourist section because some places can get dangerous to eat. hope this helped!Anyone been to the Fairmont Mayakoba? What is the best acting advice you have for me?Come on, just about anything will be appreciated. Please?

I'm sort of a really bad actor and I seriously need to brush up my acting skills, so I desperately need the best advice any of you can give me, thank you so much! What is the best acting advice you have for me?Come on, just about anything will be appreciated. Please?
Memorize the role, not just the lines.

Ask from your characters standpoint, who what when why

Continue to add layers to your character. Don't put too much pressure to have your character completely built from the get go. Start by adding little things, expressions, annunciation of the words. Just keep adding and building him/her.

    Persistence

    Practice

Research-is he/she a doctor? lawyer? con man? Find out how these types are, their habits, their speech, etc.

Confidence, but at the same time, don't become egotistical. Unfortunately, as actors we are the low men/woman on the totem pole.

Never apologize for fumbling lines, just regroup and move forward.

    Never break character

Draw from real life experience to recreate needed emotions, but remember, no one goes from angry to sad to happy in an instant. Realize the transformation from each emotion, like in real life is gradual, not instant. What is the best acting advice you have for me?Come on, just about anything will be appreciated. Please?
Acting is Reacting. Study your cue lines just a much as you study your own lines. Listen to what is being said to you and to what your character is saying. (A very common mistake by beginning actors is not listening in character)

Read your script every day even after you know your lines.

Analyze your script and your character. Pay attention to what other characters say in their lines about the character you are portraying. And pay attention to what your character is saying in order to gain insight into the character you are portraying.

Choose physical aspects of your character. Like a certain walk or how they carry themselves. For example if you are playing a character that is very powerful...choose to stand very tall and walk with purpose. If it is a character that is shy or easily intimidated mabye the character would walk a little slower and maybe the shoulders would slump down and inward a little. You will be surprised at how little physical traits will affect the vocal aspects of your performance.

Take your time. Don't rush things. Be in the moment of what is going on in the characters world. Remember each time you say the lines or perform this is supposed to be the first time the character is hearing these things or saying the lines. You, as the character, are having these conversations with the other characters for the first time.

Find something in your character that you can relate to. Sometimes it is easier to go through the script and find out what the character is feeling. Write the emotion out to the side of the line. Is the character angry, jealous, sad, happy, excited, etc... Isolating the emotion the character is feeling at that moment can help your delivery of the lines.

As an actor you have to be a detective and a psychologist. You have to learn to read between the lines and figure out what makes the character tick so that you can relay that through your perfomance. If you dig deeply into the script then you will find something to connect to the character that will help with your performance.

    Keep plugging away!
    Here is some of my favorite ';acting advice';

Learn your lines and don't run into the furniture.

    Less is more.

    Acting is reacting.

Don't just do something, sit there.

There are no small parts, only small actors.

    And my absolute favorite trick:

Every scene is about love. What is it your character loves? Play that in the scene. Love is the strongest human emotion and is therefore the easiest to use to connect with an audience. Every character loves something in every scene, ALWAYS. Finding it, playing it, that's the trick.
    ';You may be turned down again and again but remember try, try, try again.';
go to an acting school. Or stay after with your acting teacher to learn more or ask freidns for help.
Get training. Get into a good acting program to learn technique that you will always be able to fall back on until it becomes second nature.

Shift your focus in a given scene from you to your scene partner. That is where you will get your stimulus from.

    Don't act. Be.

Before you go into any scene, know what it is you are supposed to do and do it.

Understand the character, what he says and does and why he says it and why he does it. Know what his motivations are.

Do your homework and fill in the blanks that you don't see in the script or receive from the director.

Work on building strong public solitude. (Ask your teacher what it is.)

There is certainly more. Also learn the business side of it all. It will help you tremendously.

Have a look at my site for new and aspiring actors. http://www.actingcareerstartup.com

    Tony
I think the best way to practice your acting is to get a monologue book. just read some monologues using different accents. try to realize that you want to become the character, don't overreact. Keep your words crisp and clear, even if it means saying each sound of every letter slowly. Don't mix your words. i.e., wanna, gotta, or slurring two words together, (';make him'; could turn into ';makkim';)

Be positive that you are confident, and, most importantly, make sure that you know what you're doing. When you get up onstage for an audition, and not do what you're supposed to, you'll make a complete fool of yourself. Of course, in auditions, you want to think outside of the box. You dont want to stand there and recite a monologue word for word, but you don't want to jump around the stage like a baboon, or add so much emphasis to your words that it takes away from the actual character you're portraying. finding a happy-medium is tricky but it certainly pays off.

i act in front of my mirror every night. my friends and family call me nuts and tell me i need to enter the physc ward, but it is definitely worth it. Don't be afraid to express your feelings through your character. if your character is supposed to be sad, think of something sad in your life. Acting well is harder than people think. Ignore their comments and keep up with your exercises!

    Best wishes and speak clearly C ;

    alex
-make sure that you have all your lines memorized

    -speak loudly, clearly, and slowly

-be prepared to fill in for someone if they forget their lines.

-don't look down into the audience, it looks better if you look upwards or out over the audience.

-keep your body towards the audience unless instructed to do otherwise by the director.

    and most importantly.........

Don't piss off the Director because they can easily replace you.
Here are some tips for acting

Always be honest, once you can make a part believe able then you can be more theatrical.

Read the script and make sure you understand the lines your saying

be confident, very few people just start out great, it takes passion and dedication

start playing characters with in your gender and age range

see if there's an experience in your own life (or in the life of someone you know) that will connect you to the script.

relax and don't let your nerves get to you.

I need some advice about the following?

I am 32 soon to be 33 years old. I am thinking about going back to college either the fall of 2008 or the spring of 2009. I had recently went to a community college and had been out for four year now.

Here is what I need the advice about should I go back to the college that I had recently gone to or just transfer to a four year college or university? I have been looking at this one college in rhode island that is more of a career college. Even my first or second semester I can probably get into internship somewhere.I need some advice about the following?
I went back to college at 36. I did a 'running start'; by first going to a community college for about a year then transeferring in. I was glad I did this as it prepared me to return to the academic mindset of planning out my time to accomodate studying, papers, and projects.

When I transferred to UCLA, I did much better than my counterparts that came straight in. They weren't as ready for the pressure on their time and the higher expectations that professors had.

Being an older student will give you an advantage: many professors will see you as being more responsible and mature. Make sure you take the time to visit each professor in his/her office during the first week of class - it makes a great impression that comes in handy should you need help or extra time.

Good luck!I need some advice about the following?
I would first find out exactly what courses you have to take for your career choice and find out which classes that you have already taken will transfer. This will save time and $. I have also found that the career colleges are a little more relaxed and you can really focus on your area of interest. If you don't know exactly which area you want to focus on then I would continue with general education requirements and then transfer to the career college once you get that base and a career in mind. Hope this helps. Good luck!

I am about to get a vertical clitoris hood piercing, any advice?

I'm 22 and on vacation. My fiance said that we should each get something to remember the trip by. We are going to a professional piercer, then a tattoo shop. My fiance convinced me to get a vertical clit hood piercing. Tom (my fiance) is getting a tattoo. I don't know much about clit hood piercings, except that they are supposed to give you more pleasure during sex.I am about to get a vertical clitoris hood piercing, any advice?
They also kill your nerve endings reducing the amount of sensation you will feel over time. Get your labia done instead.I am about to get a vertical clitoris hood piercing, any advice?
Vacation is NOT the time to get a new genital piercing. You'll be far away from the person who performed your piercing while you are healing and won't be able to go back if you have a problem. You should not be swimming in pools, the ocean, or hot tubbing right after a new piercing. You will also need to wait a few weeks before oral sex with your new piercing and be very careful to protect it from getting snagged or tugged durring any other activities.

For that matter vacation is not a particularly good time to get a tattoo either if you are going to be physically active (like skiing or hiking) or someplace like the beach.

Properly done vertical hood piercings should NOT affect your sensation. Your piercer should be carefully checking the area for nerves and blood vessels before you are pierced. It is possible that you could have nerves in the way of your piercing and you may have to get a different piercing instead.

Clitoral hood piercings do not neccessarily enhance sex. Some ladies get an increase in stimulation from the jewelry, while others don't. So if you are only getting the piercing for sex, then I suggest you get a good vibrator instead to play with. Regardless of sensation you will have a pretty new piercing that's fun to look at, so if that's enough for you then get pierced. Of the ladies I know who have hood piercings, about half or fewer really notice the piercings having any affect on their sex lives.

There are several websites with good information on clitoral piercings and www.bmezine.com is one of them. Head to the encyclopedia section.

Remember that not all piercers are equally skilled and educated. Just because someone is a professional piercer does NOT mean they are qualified to pierce your genitals correctly. We've all been to a hairstylist who didn't know what they were doing; you don't want that experience with a piercer. This is another reason not to get pierced on vacation. You want to be pierced in a reputable shop with an expierenced piercer. Get references on piercers in your area so you know the background of the person who is working on you. Ask questions about their experience and ask questions durring the piercing process. Protect yourself by carefully choosing your piercer.
    My advice: Don't do it.

I have heard that it can give you more pleasure during sex, but there is also the risk that you could lose all sensation as well. Not worth it, in my eyes.

And the way I see it is, if you have to get a piercing ';down there'; to enhance sex, someone isn't doing their job right in the bedroom. Just my outlook.
    Don't do it.

It's very painful as this is one of the most sensitive parts of your body. It will not improve your sex life and you risk serious infection.

Bottom line, Not a smart idea.

    Ian M
definitely do it he'll fell better with u with his tongue and also you'll fell better by yourself
Make sure to remove it before going through security at the airport.
I think you should do it but not on vacation.
uhm ouchhh ! that sounds painful.
ahaha your clit, i bet that'll hurt.
    it sounds OUTCH!

Advice about ordering pills off the internet??

A dear friend of mine is ordering Ativan off the internet for anxiety. She never had a prescription for this. Is she in danger?? Although she has anxiety attacks?Advice about ordering pills off the internet??
The only advice i would give is DONT order medication off the internet. It may not be what it claims to be.

If she is suffering from anxiety, she needs to go to her GP and be prescribed something. Her GP will know her medical history and will be able to provide her with better medication for her problem.

She may have a bad reaction to these tablets from the internet. Any medication need to be prescribed and medical history taken into account before medication is prescribed.

Please tell her not to do it!!Advice about ordering pills off the internet??
yes she is, never EVER order pills off the internet, always go to a pharmacy
If the site she's ordering from is a posted mark and a well known one, then I think it's okay...but It'd be a lot safer to go the a drug store or a pharmacy and buy it herself

    ;-)
