I ahve a 5 year old Pitbull and about to get a kitten any Advice?

How can i introduce my pitbull to my new kitten?I ahve a 5 year old Pitbull and about to get a kitten any Advice?
I have a very large pitbull, and because he knows that aggression of any kind is not aloud he is fine around animals of any size or kind. Hes been around many cats including my aunts who even swiped at him and hissed, his only reaction was to get behind me because he knows i am his protector and leader not the other way around. The real question is one only you know then answer to, is your dog obedient enough to be brought into a situation like this?I ahve a 5 year old Pitbull and about to get a kitten any Advice?
I have a pitbull and she's great with other animals. but if your dog hasn't been socialized with other dogs then chances are your dog might not deal well with a kitten. but that has nothing to do with the fact you have a pitbull. I have a peek-a-poo as well as she hates cats, squirels, bunnys you get the point. I would ask your vet the best way to introduce them. I have some suggestions if it were another dog but since it's a cat I don't know. I'm sure theres info on the web just look.
Not a good idea unless the dog has been socialized with cats or other small animals. Pit bulls = American pit bull TERRIER. Terriers were bred to hunt bulldogs were bred to be animal aggressive. Put them together and what do you get? An animal aggressive hunter. APBTs have a very high prey drive. The dog may see the kitten as prey and go after it.

I would try and introduce the dog to cats before you go off and buy one. See how the dog does with cats.
Wait a few days.Slowly give more hints the kitten is there. It is not a good idea for a matured dog,and a ruff dog, like a pit bull,to be around a kitten. The dog might think the kitten is a toy,and rip it to shreds.

WE HAVE A PIT BULL AND IM NOT SAYING THEY ARE ALL MEAN,JUST RUFF.

If I had a choice I would not get the kitten. Our friends dog actually did kill their kitten, and injured another one.Take it into consideration.I fyou want another pet,get another pit bull.If your pit bull is a female and she is very agressive towards other dogs, like ours, get a male pit bull, instead. Not so they can have puppies, but they just react different.
Before you show him a REAL KITTEN you should get a fake one and put it on him. Pretend to purr then if hes OK train him whenever he sees cats to stay and show him your kitten
Advice......Don't subject a brand new kitten to an already matured dog....never mind a pibull!!!
Look up the dog whisperer.
My advice would be don't do it!
