Can anyone tell me about the Army Military Police, like any advice, and or tips about them, what they do?

I am going to go to the Army as an MP. I just wanted to know what they all are about. What else do they do besides patrol, and guard? Is it hard to get into? A normal day on my installation includes patrolling, guarding munitions. We do alot of warrior challenges... alot of details as color guard and escorts....Can anyone tell me about the Army Military Police, like any advice, and or tips about them, what they do?
what's difficult to understand? they are the police force of the military; they do everything city cops do, and more. they patrol, they write tickets, they investigate criminal activity, they arrest people. they are the peacekeepers. there's is a difficult job. it's one thing for a city cop to break up a fight out front of a bar. it's something else again when the people involved are highly trained marines. (or in your case soldiers).
Here is a tip for you. When you join the Army, you don't just do the job you were assigned to because you are a soldier first. You will probably spend about half your time doing various details that need to be handled on the post like maintaining equipment, cleaning up ranges, etc etc. I don't mean this in a bad way. Sometimes it is nice to get a break from the usual routine. This is just how it goes. I would say the worse jobs in the Army are cook and mechanic because they work really long hours and the jobs are kind of tough. What sucks about being a mechanic too is having to keep up with your tools all the time.
What do mp's do?





Sit around doing nothing all day.





Then hide behind a bush stopping people driving at 31 mph on the way home and then talk to them like a right patronising c*nt.
