My advise is WAX.Advice about shaving the southern region?
Most of the time, if you're not careful, you can end up with a nasty rash or a case of razor burn. Even if you use shaving cream. The trick is to be very very gentle.

Apply the shaving cream, take the razor and go VERY SLOWLY and VERY GENTLY - don't press - downwards. Gently, slowly. This ensures a proper shave, too. Afterwards, exfoliate. And very importantly, moisturize - shaving, even with shaving cream, still requires moisturizing to prevent dryness and rash. Use a good quality moisturizer that doesn't have anything that could irritate your skin - nothing like lavender or lanolin.

So it's pretty easy. Gentle, slow, exfoliate, moisturize.
i would stop using the cream as its having a reaction and shave more often the more you shave the more your body gets use to it and the redness will go.
They do have creams for ';bikini rash'; at drugstores. Also, when your your taking on your southern region I recommend getting yourself soaked in hot/warm water first.
Maybe try not to use the cream-that might be causing it? If they don't hurt then just sort of live with it and see if they stop over time(if you've only just started). Hope this helps :)
