She probably see's how confident you are and wants to be like that. She probably doesn't have many friends either. I would start talking to her...comment on her new phone..say ';I like your new phone. I just got one too!'; That way she's getting attention and you have acknowledged that you see what she is doing.
Try to be friendly with her and maybe introduce her into people you know. Once she builds some friends and some confidence she will most likely move on.What can you advice me about my classmate?
She must be going through a time where she is unsure of herself as a person. She doesn't know where she fits in in the universe, and she must have thought that you were the type of person she wanted to be.
Or it could be that she wants to be friends with you, but thinks you won't like her if she is herself.
I have a friend who is like that where they try to be just like you. My friend always follows me she always copies what i have and what im doing. Worst of all she copies my essay paragraphs! I decided I would tell her what she is doing wrong and ask if they would please stop. If they don't stop then you can do some of the things she is doing or copy them and see how she likes it. When she confronts you tell her that is what she was doing and ask her how it feels. Hope I'm help!!!
OMG, that is so annoying, but remember that copying is the sincerest form of flattery.
I think all you can do is grit your teeth and deal with it, she obviously doesn't have any confidence in her own choices but looks up to you.

you are trend setter...you got style and she likes it...its something you should be proud of but i know that sometimes it can get frustrating..
