Help please, I need advice about my cat?

My female cat is leaking a mucus like liquid from her butt, I took her to the vet and he gave me medicine to give her. I have been giving her the medicine, but it is almost gone and does not seem to be working. My vet is on vacation until March. Does anyone know what is going on with her, has anyone had this problem? Will she be ok? I am very worried.Help please, I need advice about my cat?
Your vet should have somebody he refers his clients to in case of an emergency. With him gone, make sure you take the medicine and anything else your first vet gave you to the second one so he can correctly perscribe something without it hurting your cat. Your cat is lucky you love her so!Help please, I need advice about my cat?
Find another vet. Doesn't sound really serious, but there's a chance it could be. Don't sit and wait!!
If your vet felt it was necessary to have medication and the medication hasn't worked, then she definately needs to be seen again. If he is gone until March, surely he has a substitute to care for his patients until he is back. If not, take her somewhere else. This isn't something that should be left untreated. Good luck!
Is there only one vet in your area? Even in small rural towns, most places will have more than one vet. I suggest you contact a different one. March is too long to wait. Sounds like the medicine is not working.
Call your vet's office in the morning and ask what they are doing for people who need to see the vet again. If they are referring to another vet, then call that vet and set up an appointment. Have the original vet fax over the records.
I would consult another vet, even if it's just for your peace of mind. Does yours have one who's filling in for him while he's on vacation?
it depends on what color it is
I'd get her to another vet for a second diagnosis. Your vet should have an on-call person you can go to...but I'd would get her in for a second looksie.
