Because Romeo is feeling so low about his latest love, and states that Rosaline will not return his affections, Benvolio tells Romeo to ';Examine other beauties,'; or look to other beautiful woman, ';and I will make thee think thy swan a crow'; (Rosaline being the swan that will be made to seem a crow, in comparison to all the other women Benvolio will show Romeo at the Capulet ball).Romeo and Juliet Shakespeare What advice does benvolio give romeo about rosaline in act one scene one?
Benvolio tells Romeo to follow his lead. Look at other ladies. There are other people than this Rosalind girl. Benvolio hopes that if Romeo sees that there are other girls that may return his affections that will forget Rosalind.
